One new driver in five is involved in an accident in their first year of driving due to lack of experience. Why take chances? Further develop your driving skills with our choice of post test courses
Pass Plus
Fine-tune your new driving skills. Pass Plus is a training course specifically aimed at new drivers, designed by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) with the help of insurers and the driving instruction industry. It will build upon your existing skills and knowledge, teach you how to anticipate, plan for and deal with all kinds of hazards, and help you to become more confident on the roads.
The course consists of 6 modules:
- driving in town
- driving in all weathers
- driving on rural roads
- driving at night
- driving on dual carriageways
- driving on motorways
You must hold a full UK driving licence to take part in the scheme. You will not have to take a test at the end of the course but you’ll be continually assessed. But why bother?
Pass Plus is recognised by most car insurance companies who are willing to give discounts of up to 35% to those who have completed a Pass Plus course. This usually equates to much more than the cost of the course itself.

Motorway Driving
Motorways help you get to your destination as quickly and safely as possible. However, as they are out of bounds to learners, newly qualified drivers have no experience of them. Many find motorway driving such a daunting prospect that they will do anything to avoid them. Doubling or even tripling their journey times. This is such a shame.
Motorways are probably our safest roads, but when accidents happen they are usually quite severe due to the higher speeds involved. Motorway accidents often involve loss of life but this risk can be greatly minimised by taking extra tuition to enhance your driving skills and gain that experience needed. All done in the safety of a dual controlled car with your instructor by your side. Your instructor will empower you with vital new skills including:
- Planning journeys in advance
- Joining and leaving the motorway/ using slip roads
- Adjusting your speed to suit the circumstance
- Effective all round observation
- Reading signs, signals and markings correctly
- Overtaking and lane discipline
- Courtesy to other road users
- Understanding motorway fatigue
- Breakdown procedures
- Use of lights, including your hazard warning lights
- How to deal with debris on the carriageway
- Understanding how crosswinds can affect you on the motorway
